For a chef working in a school or care provision, this will be an enhanced DBS check with barring for a chef.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What is an enhanced DBS check with barring?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>An enhanced DBS check with barring for a chef involves a search for any <a href=\"https:\/\/crbdirect.org.uk\/dbs-check-faq-videos\/what-does-unspent-mean\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">unspent<\/a> or spent convictions, cautions, reprimands or warnings.
